(Seoul, KR) – Grandmaster Ghassan Timani recently took a trip to Korea where he met the founder and 1st Head Master of KAT, Grandmaster J.K. Chung. While there Grandmaster Chung promoted him to 8th degree black belt in Hapkido. He will return early next year to test for his 8th Dan at the Kukkiwon. Master Kenny Yoo also traveled to Korea from Colorado.
While there the first two Head Masters reminisced about the first decades of our dojang’s life and talked about the possibility of Grandmaster Chung returning to teach a week’s worth of classes at KAT sometime during 2016. We will work on putting together the funding to see if this can happen. It would be a great experience for our students since Grandmaster Chung hasn’t visited KAT in several years.
