If I weigh in on Friday, do I still have to weigh in on Saturday
Yes! Friday weigh in is only for forms. See the detailed schedule for more info.
Is the tournament really on Sunday?
Yes, the tournament is Saturday night (forms in hotel) and Sunday (sparring at the venue)
I heard that older college students can compete this time. Is this true?
Yes, you can still compete and earn points for your school. However, you cannot compete for a spot on the US Collegiate Team (the black belt sparring division or the poomsae team trials.)
Will the Poomsae Team receive support from the NCTA?
Yes, just the same as the sparring team.
Is there a high school division this year?
No, that is offered only in alternating years.
Will I need to buy my own socks ahead of time?
YES. (If you are a black belt.) They will NOT be available for purchase at the event. * UPDATE: There will be a limited number available.
What forms are required?
For the poomsae team trials, you should prepare from Taeguek 6 Jang until Shipjin. However, the actual forms you will do are here. For the regular forms competition, you should prepare the WTF form that corresponds to your rank. White-Yellow (Taekguek 1-2), Green (Taeguek 3-4), Blue (Taeguek 5-6), Red (Taeguek 7-8), 1st Dan (Koryo), 2nd Dan (Keumgang), 3rd Dan (Taebaek).
